Review
This is a short story written by Taylor Jenkins Reid about two people whose spouses are having an affair with each other. The two begin to build a friendship based on an awkward common bond. As their friendship blossoms, they struggle with what to do. Should they confront their spouses? Do they want to start life afresh or try recapturing the magic they once had with their spouses? Carrie and David are unsure what their spouses' next step will be.
Taylor Jenkins Reid holds your attention from start to finish and throws in a twist for good measure. It is astonishing how satisfying, how poignant. How powerful a story like this can be, and while I felt she took me on a complete journey in a short number of pages, I would love to see more of Carrie and David's life.
In my opinion, this story is told in letters was the perfect way for it to be said.
