Summary
Maya Alatorre
Noah Slade is a Formula 1 legend in the making. Focused. Unapproachable. Ruthless on and off the track.A man with walls higher than the Grand Canyon. And my brother's new teammate.
I want more of the prince who disguises himself as the villain. But while I crave a happy ending, he wants to destroy his.
Noah Slade
Maya Alatorre is a forbidden temptation. An ambitious post-grad I should stay far away from. And chaos wrapped with a bow.
We're a ticking time bomb, about one wrong move away from exploding. I want to trip the wire, detonating together in passion and pain. Because in the end, all's fair in lust and war.
Review
Throttled is Lauren Asher's debut novel, and I loved it. Lauren Asher's writing is fantastic, and her knowledge of Formula One racing makes the story even more fascinating and immersive.
Maya and Noah's romance is so sweet; expect lots of solid chemistry, flirty banter and many dear and sexy moments. I loved how Maya knew her worth and what she wanted and did not let Noah's commitment issues cloud that.
I loved that Lauren Asher had Noah go to therapy for men. There is still a stigma about it. I also loved Noah's growth throughout the book.
This is a slow-burn romance; you get to a point where you are begging them to kiss. Maya and Noah will make you go through a rollercoaster of emotions, but it is so worth it. The sentiment will grow so high you will feel so much.
There is a little bit of forbidden romance and a secret relationship because Maya does not want Santi to know. So we see the little moments Noah plans for them to be together away from the crowd. Noah puts so much thought into them, and I love seeing him entirely in love with Maya.
